Abde Ezzalzouli is taking another step in his return to competition. The Moroccan international is part of the Real Betis squad selected for the training camp organized in Marbella from July 27 to August 1.
The winger of the Atlas Lions is thus accompanying his teammates in Andalusia, alongside Isco and Antony. His presence in this second summer gathering is an encouraging sign, even though the player is still following an individualized program to gradually regain his full capabilities.
Injured in the knee just before the 2026 World Cup, Abde has recently resumed running on the pitch. His recovery is progressing according to the schedule established by Betis’s medical staff. The Moroccan is now working to be available as soon as possible, with the goal of rejoining the group as the start of La Liga approaches.
Betis will play a new friendly match against Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday. The match, part of the Trophée Ciudad de La Línea, will kick off at 8 PM at the municipal stadium of La Línea de la Concepción. However, Abde’s participation is not yet guaranteed, as the Seville club does not want to take any risks with their winger.
After this match against the French club, the team led by Manuel Pellegrini will continue their work in Marbella until August 1. This period should allow Abde to gradually intensify his preparation before fully returning to team training.
