Free since the end of his contract with Olympique de Marseille, Bilal Nadir is set to continue his career in Germany. The 22-year-old Moroccan midfielder is expected in Hamburg this Wednesday to undergo a medical examination prior to signing with Hamburger SV. Unless any issues are detected during the tests, the official announcement of his arrival could happen quickly.
Born in Nice and trained at OGC Nice, the left-footed player joined OM in 2021. Over five years in the Phocaean city, he gradually integrated into the first team, making 40 appearances in Ligue 1 and four matches in the Champions League. The 2025-2026 season was the most successful of his Marseille career, with 20 league matches played after a long absence due to a serious knee injury.
Hamburger SV is therefore expected to make an interesting move by signing a player for free whose market value is estimated at 8 million euros by Transfermarkt. Stuttgart and Eintracht Frankfurt had also shown interest in recent weeks, but Hamburg now seems to have taken the lead.
