Maroan Sannadi is facing another setback. The Moroccan international forward of Athletic Club is suffering from a lesion in the proximal tibiofibular joint of his left knee, as officially announced by the Basque club in a medical statement. No duration of unavailability has been communicated yet.
According to the Spanish press, this injury occurred accidentally during a training session. The player will now have to wait for the evolution of his condition before knowing more about the date of his return to competition.
This new physical issue comes after a previous injury to the meniscus of his right knee, which had forced him to undergo surgery and kept him off the field for several months. This time, it is his left knee that is affected.
Athletic Club will closely monitor the progress of their forward over the coming days. Maroan Sannadi now hopes to return to the field quickly in order to continue his preparation and get back to his best level.
