Angers SCO secured their first away victory of the season by defeating Toulouse FC 1-0 at the Stadium during the 13th round of Ligue 1. Decisive and omnipresent, Yassin Belkhdim once again played a central role in Angers’ success. Speaking to Ligue 1+ after the match, the Moroccan midfielder summarized the team’s spirit: “We are very happy with this first away victory. We were eager to go and get it. What’s beautiful is that we have the Dalle Angevine, we suffer together, and we have all been supportive of each other.”
Starting and present on the pitch until the final whistle, Belkhdim confirms that he is one of the key players in this strong start to the season for Angers: he has participated in all thirteen Ligue 1 matches, scoring one goal and providing two assists, performances that have raised his estimated value to 2.5 million euros according to the specialized site Transfermarkt. Alongside him, his compatriot Amine Sbai also had a solid match, showing great complementarity with Belkhdim in offensive play and off-the-ball work, before being substituted in the 90th minute.
Thanks to this victory in Toulouse, Angers climbs to 11th place in the standings, just behind TFC, with the same number of points but a slightly inferior goal difference. A foundational victory that could serve as a reference for the rest of the season for the Angevins.
