Renaissance Sportive de Berkane took another step forward in their continental campaign. On Saturday evening at the Municipal Stadium of Berkane, the Oranges earned a 3-1 victory over Togo’s ASC Kara, sealing their qualification for the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. In the first leg, the two sides had drawn 1-1 in Lomé.

Driven by an in-form Oussam Lamlioui, who netted a brace (14’, 39’), RSB quickly took control of the match. In between, Ayoub Kheiri (18’) extended the lead, giving Mouine Chaâbani’s men a comfortable advantage before the break. Despite Marouf Oro Tagba pulling one back for the visitors in the 55th minute, Berkane managed the game well to secure a deserved victory.

In the next round, RSB will face the winner of the tie between Dadjè FC (Benin) and Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya), with the outcome to be decided this Sunday in the return leg after a 0-0 draw in the first match.

The second preliminary round is scheduled for October 17–19 for the first leg, followed by October 24–26 for the return fixtures. The qualified teams will then advance to the group stage, set to kick off on November 21, where the competition will move to an entirely new level.
