Walid Cheddira scored his very first goal with Sassuolo this Sunday during the 4th round of Serie A, but his effort wasn’t enough to prevent the Neroverdi from losing 2-1 to Inter Milan.
Inter took an early lead thanks to Federico Dimarco, who opened the scoring in the 14th minute. In the second half, an unfortunate own goal by Tarik Muharemovic allowed the Nerazzurri to double their advantage in the 81st minute.
Coming on as a substitute in the 78th minute, Cheddira made an immediate impact by cutting the deficit just three minutes later, scoring his first official goal for Sassuolo. This standout performance will likely boost his confidence and help him gradually establish himself within the squad.
In the standings, Inter climbs to 10th place with 6 points, while Sassuolo remains stuck in 14th position with 3 points. In the next round, Cristian Chivu’s men will travel to Cagliari, while Sassuolo will host Udinese.
