The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced on Thursday that the Moroccan national team will face their Bahraini counterparts in a friendly match on October 9.
The match will take place at Rabat’s Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah starting at 8:00 PM, the FRMF stated in a press release on its official website.
This match is part of the Atlas Lions’ preparations for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, which Morocco will host, but it also serves to compensate for Eritrea’s withdrawal from its World Cup qualifying campaign. Ranked 11th in the world, Morocco will face a Bahraini team currently 88th in the FIFA rankings.
