Morocco, under the leadership of FRMF President Faouzi Lekjaa, aims to host the 2031 Women’s World Cup.
The United States has already officially announced its candidacy for organizing the 2031 Women’s World Cup, and at this time, the soccer nation is the only officially declared candidate. Morocco is also expected to follow suit and put forward its candidacy.
With its existing infrastructure, both nations will have a strong bid and significant experience in this area. In 2023, Australia hosted the tournament, and in 2027, it will be Brazil’s turn. The next edition is therefore looking for a host. FIFA has announced that only two continents can apply for hosting this event, namely CONCACAF (North America, Central America, and the Caribbean) and CAF.
In 2035, the edition will take place in Africa or Europe… It is therefore expected that Morocco will put forward its candidacy, and South Africa is also considering it. The vote for awarding the 2031 edition will take place during the 76th FIFA Congress, just before the 2026 World Cup… in the United States.
