Maali, just 19 years old, is widely considered one of Moroccan football’s most exciting prospects. The left-winger has consistently showcased exceptional technical ability, electrifying pace, and dazzling dribbling skills, putting him firmly in the spotlight of numerous clubs.

    International Acclaim and Local experience
Maali’s burgeoning career has already seen him make a name for himself on the international stage. He has represented Morocco at various youth levels, most notably emerging as one of the stars of the U-17 national team. He played a pivotal role in the 2023 U-17 World Cup, topping the assist charts in Indonesia with an impressive four assists and delivering a series of standout performances. Prior to that, he was instrumental in Morocco’s excellent run to the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations final and their triumph in the Junior Arab Cup. Domestically, Maâli was a crucial figure for his former club, Ittihad of Tanger. Despite his tender age, he featured in over 30 matches for the senior team in the Moroccan league last season, a testament to his maturity and immense potential.

    A New Chapter in Egypt

Maali now embarks on a new professional challenge in the Egyptian Premier League, a move that will undoubtedly mark a significant step in his footballing journey. Maali has expressed his delight at joining Zamalek, delivering a heartfelt farewell message to the Ittihad of Tanger faithful, assuring them that the club will always hold a special place in his heart.
Experts and fans alike anticipate that Abdelhamid Maâli will be a robust addition to Zamalek. With his youthful experience and dynamic play, he’s expected to contribute significantly to “The White Knight’s” ambitions both domestically and continentally. Zamalek supporters eagerly await the chance to witness this Moroccan prodigy shine in the historic white shirt.
