Zakaria Eddahchouri has once again made the difference. Coming on in the second half, the Moroccan-born player scored the decisive goal on a perfectly executed counter-attack against Albacete, securing a valuable victory for Deportivo La Coruña (2-0). As leaders of the Segunda División, the Galician club continues its march towards a possible promotion to La Liga.

With this new goal, Eddahchouri confirms his incredible efficiency this season: 9 goals, 5 assists, and 2 penalties earned in just 802 minutes. Recruited less than a year ago, he has quickly become one of the key players of the team and one of the most dangerous forwards in the league.

In comments to Voetbal International, the striker shares his unique bond with Deportivo supporters: “I sometimes walk along the seaside and I hear someone shout Forza Depor or Vamos Zaka.” This close relationship is fostered by the Riazor stadium, where the atmosphere still echoes the club’s great European years.

Having risen from the lower divisions, Eddahchouri now embodies the revival of Deportivo. As long as he maintains this level of performance, La Coruña can continue to dream of a return to the highest level.
