\u201cI was called up in May and I had already gone with Morocco,\u201d the Schalke player recalled. El-Faouzi made his debut during the 5-0 victory against Burundi. This first experience clearly convinced him: \u201cIt was a friendly match. Despite that, I really enjoyed it and I had a good connection with the coach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still eligible at that time to represent Germany, as he had only participated in one friendly match with Morocco, El-Faouzi ultimately decided to continue with the Atlas Lions. He describes this choice to Sky Sport as a \u201cdecision from the heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Moroccan midfielder now clearly expresses his ambition to establish himself in the national team. \u201cMorocco’s last two World Cups have been very good. Morocco continues to progress.
