According to information from Argentine journalist Hern\u00e1n Castillo, River is anticipating a possible departure of its young goalkeeper Santiago Beltr\u00e1n and has made Bounou its priority to succeed him. The Atlas Lions goalkeeper is currently considered the only profile truly targeted by the Buenos Aires club. Goal reports that he is seen as “the first, second, and third choice” for River for the position.<\/p>\n
At this stage, however, the exchanges remain preliminary. River Plate has not yet opened formal negotiations with Al-Hilal but is primarily seeking to understand Bounou’s intentions and the feasibility of a transfer.
