Couhaib Driouech has returned to PSV Eindhoven after the failure of his transfer to Rangers. Already in Glasgow to finalize his arrival, the Moroccan winger ultimately did not receive the green light following his medical examination. In an interview with ESPN Netherlands, he explained that the doctors from both clubs had differing opinions on his physical condition.<\/p>\n
“It has been a real emotional rollercoaster, but I am back. I think there was a disagreement between the doctors. I had a small tear in my thigh. The situation probably worsened after a knee knock I received that week, which caused a bruise. I feel good and have resumed training. I had no influence on the decision made there,” Driouech shared.<\/p>\n
The Rangers reportedly believed that this injury could keep him off the pitch for several weeks. However, the Moroccan assures that his physical issues have disappeared and hopes to join the PSV squad for the league match against FC Groningen. During an open training session held at the Philips Stadion, he was nevertheless rested during the scrimmage.<\/p>\n
Driouech acknowledges that he needed time to process this setback. “I would have seen it as a great step. It’s a shame, but I am also happy to be back. In your mind, you are already there and you imagine yourself in another jersey. However, this is not the first time this has happened to me. It’s tough, but that’s how it is,” he added.<\/p>\n
A departure before the transfer window closes remains possible, but it is not an obligation for the player. “I will just wait. If something happens, I will see it. The situation remains uncertain. I am happy here and I feel good at PSV. I will always be grateful to this club.
