The group stage of the 2024 CHAN is coming to an end, and Group A is more closely contested than ever. With Kenya at the top of the table, Morocco is in a favorable position ahead of its final match against DR Congo, but nothing has been decided yet.<\/p>\n\n

With six points each, Morocco and DR Congo are neck and neck. However, the Atlas Lions have the edge with a better goal tally (five goals) compared to DR Congo\u2019s four, putting them in a stronger position for qualification.<\/p>\n\n

A draw for qualification, a win for first place<\/h2>\n\n

A draw against DR Congo would be enough for Morocco to secure their spot in the quarter-finals. However, settling for a share of the points could mean missing out on a valuable opportunity. With a win, and if Kenya slips up on their end, Morocco could claim the top spot in the group\u2014a significant advantage for the remainder of the competition.<\/p>\n\n

Conversely, a loss for Morocco against DR Congo would mean elimination. In such a tight group, even the smallest mistake can be costly. Tarik Sektioui\u2019s men therefore face a choice: play it safe and secure qualification with a draw, or take risks to aim for first place. One thing is certain\u2014the match against DR Congo promises to be thrilling.<\/p>\n\n
