The Moroccan women’s national team continues their remarkable run in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations. On Friday, July 18, 2025, the Atlas Lionesses secured their place in the semi-finals with a controlled 3-1 victory over Mali at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.<\/p>\n\n
As early as the 7th minute, Ibtissam Jra\u00efdi opened the scoring, putting the Moroccan team on the right track. The forward then doubled the lead in the 79th minute with a penalty. In the final moments of the match, Kenza Chapelle sealed Morocco\u2019s victory by scoring the third goal in the 89th minute.<\/p>\n\n
Mali saved some pride in the dying seconds thanks to A\u00efssata Traor\u00e9, who converted a penalty in the 97th minute. However, the late goal was too little, too late to prevent Morocco\u2019s qualification.<\/p>\n\n
With this performance, the national team has secured a spot in the final four. They will face the winner of the clash between Ghana and Algeria, scheduled for this Saturday.<\/p>\n\n
