Moroccan striker Tarik Tissoudali once again shone for his club Khorfakkan, scoring an important goal in the first leg of the UAE League Cup Round of 16 against Bani Yas. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
After conceding the opening goal, Khorfakkan equalized through Tissoudali. Thanks to his excellent positioning, the Moroccan forward latched onto a ball inside the box and powered home a header in the 40th minute. The first half concluded with the score level at 1-1.
In the second half, João Wiesner restored Bani Yas’ lead with a strike, but Khorfakkan managed to equalize once more through an own goal from a defender. The match also saw Akram Nakach feature, before being substituted in the 57th minute, while Tissoudali played the entire match.
The second leg between the two sides is scheduled for Saturday, September 6. So far this season, Tissoudali has recorded two goals and two assists across all competitions.
