The Moroccan U17 national team secured the Antalya Youth Cup 2025 trophy after defeating Slovakia (3-1) on Friday, February 14, in the final matchday of the friendly tournament.

With this victory, the Atlas Lion Cubs finished at the top of the standings with six points. After an initial loss to the Czech Republic (0-1), they bounced back by defeating Uzbekistan (1-0) before overcoming Slovakia. The Slovaks finished second with four points, edging out the Czech Republic on goal difference, while Uzbekistan ended at the bottom with three points.

This tournament allowed head coach Nabil Baha to assess his squad and integrate new players. One of the standout performers was goalkeeper Chouaib Bellaarouch from the Mohammed VI Academy, who saved two penalties—one against Uzbekistan and another against Slovakia.

The Atlas Lion Cubs now continue their preparations for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Morocco from March 30 to April 19, 2025. They are drawn in Group A alongside Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.
