The Moroccan U20 national team kicks off a series of friendly matches in preparation for the final phase of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from April 26 to May 18. To sharpen their preparation, the Atlas Cubs will face Ghana and Sierra Leone at the Mohammed VI Football Complex.
The program includes two encounters against Ghana, on March 20 and 24, as well as a match against Sierra Leone on March 22. These matches will allow national coach Mohammed Ouahbi to assess his squad and refine his selections ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations. Placed in Group B, the Moroccan team will have to compete against formidable opponents such as Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa.
For this training camp, thirty players have been called up, hailing from both Moroccan and European clubs. Among them, several players compete in well-known leagues such as Ligue 1, Serie A, and the Eredivisie.
