Souffian El Karouani, the Moroccan full-back of FC Utrecht, recently spoke about his future in an interview following the match between FC Utrecht and the Moldovan club Sheriff Tiraspol, during the 2nd qualifying round of the Europa League (Utrecht won 4-1). He stated that he gives everything for his current club and is very satisfied with his level of play with the team.
When asked about potential offers from other clubs, El Karouani remained cautious. “There are no offers at the moment,” he explained, while emphasizing that he does not want to make a rushed decision. “I just want the club to suit me perfectly. When you change clubs, you often change countries and have to adapt to a new life.”
The player stressed the importance of a “complete package” for him to feel good before taking a step forward. “Otherwise, I simply won’t do it.”
When asked about the possibility of staying one more season at Utrecht, he responded: “It’s not a bad idea at all. I feel very good here, I take things as they come, and I don’t worry too much.”
This statement shows the maturity of the player, who prefers thoughtful progress over hasty decisions, while remaining fully committed to his current club.
