La Renaissance Sportive de Berkane (RSB) clinched its first title in Botola by drawing 1-1 against Union de Touarga on Saturday night during the 25th round of the championship. This precious point allowed the Berkane team to secure first place with a total of 60 points, five matches before the end of the season. Oussama Lemlioui opened the scoring for RSB in the 66th minute, before Youness Dahmani equalized for Union de Touarga in the 83rd.
With 18 victories and only one defeat (against FUS in the 5th round), Mouine Chaabani’s men have had an exceptional season. This title crowns a brilliant series of performances, following their successes in the CAF Cup in 2020 and 2022, as well as their three Throne Cups and one CAF Super Cup. They are ahead of AS FAR (2nd, 45 points) and Wydad Casablanca (3rd, 43 points) in the final standings.
