AS Roma is reportedly making another push to sign Moroccan forward Abdessamad Ezzalzouli before the summer transfer window closes. According to Italian media, the Serie A club has reopened discussions for the Real Betis player.
Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb states that “Abde’s” name has reemerged on Roma’s shortlist as they look to reinforce their attack. The young winger is known for his blistering speed, powerful dribbling, and technical prowess, having completed 45 successful dribbles in 32 La Liga matches last season. Ezzalzouli was previously linked to Roma in July and has also drawn interest from other Italian clubs, including Bologna and Como.
Ezzalzouli, 24, joined Real Betis in 2023 on a contract that runs until 2029. He had a remarkable season with the Spanish club, scoring 9 goals and providing 5 assists across all competitions.
Internationally, he led Morocco’s U-23 squad to victory in the Africa Cup and secured a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics. His impressive form also extended to the senior national team, where he was a key player for coach Hoalid Regragui, tallying 2 goals and 3 assists in seven Africa Cup qualifying matches.
