Renaissance Zemamra secured a crucial 3-2 victory against COD Meknès this Saturday at the Ahmed Choukri Stadium during the 16th round of the Botola Pro D1.

Dominating from the start, Zemamra opened the scoring in the 13th minute through Zakaria Bahrou, who capitalized on a defensive mistake by El Yousfi. Two minutes later, Amine Azri doubled the lead after exploiting another defensive lapse from the visitors. Despite a difficult start, COD Meknès pulled one back in the 31st minute with Mouad Gollouss, who was set up by Zakaria Bahrou.

In the second half, Zemamra continued to apply pressure, but it was COD Meknès that found the equalizer. In the 70th minute, Anas El Mahraoui converted a penalty awarded after VAR consultation, leveling the score. However, Zemamra regained the lead in the 80th minute with a decisive header from Mahamadou Camara, securing the victory for the hosts.

With this win, Renaissance Zemamra temporarily moves up to second place in the standings with 28 points, while COD Meknès, suffering a third consecutive defeat, remains stuck on 17 points in 13th place.
