Real Madrid: Arbeloa Takes Responsibility and Apologizes to Brahim Diaz

In a press conference on Thursday, March 5, 2026, Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa delivered a rare and very direct speech regarding Brahim Diaz. When questioned about the Moroccan international’s limited playing time, the Merengue coach publicly acknowledged that his management could be improved… and took full responsibility for the situation.

Without seeking excuses, Arbeloa explained that there was “nothing” particular behind this sidelining: no disciplinary issues, nor a drop in performance. On the contrary, he believes that Brahim is playing less than he deserves, highlighting the quality of his daily work in training and the consistency of his commitment.

The Madrid coach even went further by stating that he needed to rely more on the Lion of the Atlas, convinced that he could “get more out of him” to help the team in the final stretch of the season. This strong statement resembles a clear message: Brahim remains a credible option and can regain a more significant role in the rotation, especially with upcoming challenges on the horizon.

It remains to be seen whether these words will translate into action in the upcoming matches. One thing is certain: this public support and self-criticism place Brahim Diaz in a favorable position to reignite his momentum at Real Madrid.
