The Parc des Princes once again paid tribute to Achraf Hakimi. During the 13th matchday of Ligue 1, marked by PSG’s 3-0 victory against Le Havre, the Virage Auteuil unfurled a banner specially designed to celebrate the crowning of the Atlas Lion, recently named African Ballon d’Or.
The message, revealed in the stands, made a strong impression:
“African Ballon d’Or, Parisian Monument, Achraf SOVEREIGN LION.”
A powerful and symbolic text, intended to salute the exceptional performance of the Moroccan full-back, now regarded as one of the best African players of his generation. Despite his absence on the pitch due to an injury in the Champions League, Hakimi has never seemed so present in the hearts of Parisian supporters.
Through this banner, the Virage Auteuil aimed to express its gratitude and congratulate one of PSG’s key players, who has become a true symbol in both Paris and Morocco over the seasons.
This rare and elegant tribute highlights the unique place Hakimi occupies: a player respected for his talent, admired for his character, and now celebrated as a sovereign Lion on the African continent.
