Panathinaikos keen to keep Azzedine Ounahi Beyond this Season. On loan from Olympique de Marseille, Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi has impressed the Panathinaikos management, who are keen to keep him in their squad for the 2025–2026 season.

However, the Greek club’s financial situation is complicating negotiations. At present, Panathinaikos cannot afford to meet the buyout clause originally agreed upon with OM. To work around this, the club is considering a new approach: extending Ounahi’s loan this summer, this time with a mandatory purchase clause included.

This strategy would allow Panathinaikos to secure the Moroccan international while spreading out the financial burden. It remains to be seen whether Olympique de Marseille will accept the proposal, especially as Ounahi’s future may also hinge on potential moves during the summer transfer window.
