The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) officially announced on Wednesday the scheduling of a friendly match between Morocco and Mozambique, set for Friday, November 14, 2025, in Agadir. This match will take place during the FIFA international window (from November 10 to 18) and will serve as preparation for the 35th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
On its official website, the FMF stated that Mozambican coach Chiquinho Conde has pre-selected 40 players, comprising individuals from both the local league and several foreign clubs. This extensive call-up reflects the technical staff’s desire to focus on continuity and enhance the competitiveness of the team as the major continental event approaches.
For the Atlas Lions, this match will provide another opportunity to fine-tune tactical adjustments under the guidance of Hoalid Regragui. The Moroccan coach is expected to take advantage of this occasion to test different profiles and give playing time to certain players seeking rhythm ahead of the start of AFCON 2025.
