The next FIFA ranking, scheduled for release on April 3, 2025, looks promising for Morocco. Currently ranked 14th, the Lions of the Atlas are expected to gain two places, surpassing Uruguay and Colombia, who are ranked 11th and 12th, respectively.
This progress is mainly due to victories against Niger and Tanzania during the 5th and 6th matchdays of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers (African zone). With these results, Morocco is expected to reach the 12th position globally.
On a continental level, Senegal, currently ranked 17th, is expected to drop one position. Meanwhile, Egypt (33rd) and Algeria (37th) are each projected to gain one spot, rising to the 32nd and 36th positions in the FIFA ranking.
