The friendly match between the Moroccan and Egyptian U-20 national teams ended in a 1-1 draw, at the Mohammed VI Academy stadium in the Moroccan capital, Rabat. This match is part of the two teams’ preparations for the upcoming World Cup in Chile next month.
The match began with a strong performance from the Moroccan side, which succeeded in opening the scoring in the 59th minute through player Younes El Bahraoui, who took advantage of a quick counter-attack to put his team ahead.
The Egyptian team did not give up and continued its attempts to equalize. This was achieved a few minutes before the end of the match, specifically in the 85th minute, when player Mohamed El Sayed scored the equalizer for the “Pharaohs.” The two teams will meet again next Friday for another preparatory match.
