It is now official: the FRMF has announced the appointment of Mohamed Ouahbi as the coach of the Atlas Lions, replacing Hoalid Regragui.
According to the information shared around the announcement, the Federation also praised the work done by Regragui and paid tribute to his commitment at the helm of the national team. For now, Ouahbi’s mission is clear: to ensure a smooth transition and to begin preparations for Morocco ahead of the 2026 World Cup, with the goal of maintaining sporting continuity and stability within the group.
Already well-known in the federal landscape due to his work with youth categories, Ouahbi arrives with a “project” profile: method, talent monitoring, and knowledge of the talent pool. The composition of his future staff is also beginning to take shape, pending further official details.
