PARIS, FRANCE - NOVEMBER 04: Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain is carried off the pitch after picking up an injury upon being fouled by Luis Diaz of Bayern Munich (not pictured) during the UEFA Champions League 2025/26 League Phase MD4 match between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern München at Parc des Princes on November 04, 2025 in Paris, France. The captain of Paris Saint-Germain, Marquinhos, spoke out after the defeat against Bayern Munich (1-2), in a match marked by the injury of Achraf Hakimi, who was hurt in the ankle following a tackle from Luis Díaz.

While he acknowledged the seriousness of the foul, the Brazilian defender wanted to maintain a measured perspective:

“With the intensity of the match, everything was decided by a few centimeters, a few seconds. Luis Díaz injured an opponent, and the referee made his decision. It’s a shame because Hakimi is a very important player for us. I hope it’s not too serious.”

Marquinhos emphasized that the Colombian winger is not a violent player:

“Luis is not a bad guy. He wanted to play the ball, but he got a bit carried away. These are things that can happen in such an intense match.”

Finally, the Parisian defender acknowledged the superiority of the opponent:

“Bayern was better than us today. We tried to respond, we scored, but we lacked efficiency. We need to learn from these kinds of matches.”
