The Moroccan international Karim El Berkaoui will long remember this 21st matchday of the Saudi Pro League, marked by a real missile sent into the nets of Meshari Abdulaziz Sunyur, the goalkeeper of Al-Riyadh.
Al-Raed won 3-1 on the pitch of Al-Riyadh, ending a streak of nine consecutive league defeats. El Berkaoui scored his team’s second goal in the 31st minute, after an opening goal just in the 18th minute. Tozé then reduced the deficit for the home team, but Amir Sayoud sealed the victory for the visitors in the 85th minute.
With this away victory, Al-Raed temporarily moves out of the relegation zone and climbs to 15th place, an encouraging position for the rest of the season. El Berkaoui, for his part, now has 6 goals in 11 appearances in the Saudi Pro League.
