    Celta Vigo continues to invest in promising young talents and is set to welcome Jones El-Abdellaoui, an 18-year-old Norwegian forward of Moroccan descent. Joining from Vålerenga, the transfer is estimated at around 50 million Norwegian kroner (€4.2 million), making it the most significant sale in the Norwegian club’s history. El-Abdellaoui is expected to travel to Spain in the coming days to undergo his medical and finalize his contract with the La Liga club, which is betting on his offensive potential for the future.

    The young forward made a name for himself this season in the Obos-ligaen, Norway’s second division, where he impressed with 13 goals and 4 assists in 26 matches. His performances caught the attention of several European clubs, but it was Celta Vigo that won the race for this versatile player, who can operate both as a striker and a winger. Proud of his Moroccan roots, El-Abdellaoui has expressed his desire to represent the Atlas Lions over Norway in his international career.

    With this transfer, Vålerenga sets a new record and secures favorable terms, including bonuses and a percentage of any future resale. For its part, Celta Vigo hopes that El-Abdellaoui will quickly adapt to the high level of La Liga, following in the footsteps of other young talents who have recently shone on Spanish pitches.
