PSV Eindhoven continued their forward march with a convincing win against Fortuna Sittard (5-2) on Friday night at the Philips Stadion. This victory was marked by another standout performance from Ismael Saibari, who scored a brace in the first half.
The Moroccan attacking midfielder opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a well-placed and powerful header from a precise cross by Dennis Man, rewarding the home side’s dominance. Ten minutes later, Saibari struck again: after a superb through ball from Mauro Junior, the Atlas Lion unleashed a powerful right-footed shot, leaving Mattijs Branderhorst with no chance (2-0, 28’).
Before the break, Dennis Man added a third goal (45+2’), practically sealing the fate of the match. In the second half, Fortuna Sittard pulled one back through Justin Lonwijk (68’), but Ricardo Pepi (83’) and Guus Til (90+7’) responded for PSV, while Kaj Sierhuis (89’) salvaged a consolation goal for the visitors.
With this latest success, PSV solidifies its position at the top of the Eredivisie. Ismael Saibari, already a scorer several times this season, confirms his outstanding form and key role in Peter Bosz’s squad.
