Chelsea is seriously considering including Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech in a deal to sign Nigerian player Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Napoli, who has shown interest in the Atlas Lion, is not opposed to this idea, thus opening the door to a possible swap between the two clubs. This presents a good opportunity for Chelsea as they are looking to lower the high cost of the transfer while also lightening their squad.
Hakim Ziyech, who arrived from Ajax Amsterdam during the 2020/2021 season, has struggled to establish himself regularly in Chelsea’s first team this season (2022-2023). Indeed, throughout the season, across all competitions, he has only been on the field for 921 minutes, which is roughly equivalent to about 10 matches. It is indeed very little playing time for a player of his caliber, and he has a strong intention to leave the London club during the upcoming transfer window.
