LOSC responded perfectly in the Europa League, winning decisively (4-0) against Dinamo Zagreb. After suffering two consecutive defeats in the competition, Bruno Genesio’s men got back on track with a convincing performance both offensively and defensively.
The match notably highlighted the very active game of Moroccan international striker Hamza Igamane. Involved in all the good plays, he made multiple offensive attempts and posed a threat on several occasions. In the 36th minute, he set up Mukau with a magnificent pass in the box, allowing the midfielder to score Lille’s second goal. Just minutes earlier, he had already forced Filipovic into a fine save with a first-time shot.
The Atlas Lion could have even increased the score in the 48th minute, but his attempt in the box narrowly missed. However, he was eventually rewarded: in the 69th minute, he took advantage of a superb ball from Haraldsson, went just on the edge of offside, and curled his shot to score Lille’s third goal.
Hamza Igamane would ultimately leave the pitch in the 71st minute, replaced by Olivier Giroud. Another Moroccan international also contributed to Lille’s offensive display: Osame Sahraoui, who came on in the 71st minute.
Thanks to this clear and flawless victory, Lille has completely revitalized its European campaign and is back in the race for qualification.
