Hrimat: “Our Goal is to Win The CHAN”

Mohamed Rabie Hrimat expressed his joy after the Moroccan national team’s decisive 0-1 victory over Tanzania. In a post-match press conference, he conveyed the pride of all the players in what they have achieved so far despite the significant challenges they faced.

For Hrimat, the victory is a product of the collective work of the players and the staff. However, their main goal is to win the CHAN title and work towards it step by step to honor Morocco and its passionate football fans. He also noted that the continuous development of Moroccan football across all categories requires the team to strive for the highest levels.

“I am very happy with the Best Player of the Match award. This is thanks to the players and the staff. We worked hard, but our goal is bigger than that! Our goal is to win CHAN.”

The captain of the Moroccan team highlighted the difficulty of the match played on Tanzania’s home ground against a tough opponent. He thanked coach Tarik Sektioui for his work and continuous efforts with the team. Hrimat, who was named Man of the Match, considered the credit for this achievement to belong to his teammates, confirming that the collective spirit and fighting attitude were the real keys to victory. He particularly emphasized the solidarity among the players, citing the case of Mehdi Mchakhchekh, whom Sektioui had to field in an unusual position due to the absences the Moroccan team suffered, which shows the group’s full commitment and cohesive unity.

Mohamed also spoke about the challenges of preparation, especially the limited time available for the team to gel and the difficulty of forming the final player list at the last minute. Despite these constraints, the team managed to organize itself and impose its style. He praised the exceptional quality of the players in this squad. For him, the presence of great talent in the group greatly facilitated managing the match and allowed the team to approach its goals with greater confidence.
