In the 3rd round of the Greek Super League, Aris Thessaloniki secured a 2-1 victory at Atromitos. The 27-year-old Moroccan left-back Hamza Mendyl was instrumental in the win, providing an assist to teammate Dudu Rodrigues for the equalizer in the 32nd minute, which also marked Aris’s opening goal.
Mendyl cleverly got rid of the defender with a subtle touch and burst down the left flank before providing the assist for Rodriguez, who scored a brilliant goal. The equalizing goal gave a huge boost to Aris FC, who managed to score a second goal through Loren Morón in the 56th minute, ensuring a valuable away win for Aris.
Thanks to this performance, Aris Thessaloniki, boosted by Mendyl’s valuable contribution, rises to 4th place in the league standings.
