Hamza Igamane: Are Rangers being too greedy?

Glasgow Rangers have set their price for their Moroccan international striker, Hamza Igamane. After a promising first season in Scotland, the player is valued at €20 million by his club — well above his current €7 million market value on Transfermarkt (as of June 17, 2025) — but this amount seems enough to spark a bidding war.

Lille slowed down, Rennes reopens the case

LOSC, a long-time admirer, is said to have already reached a personal agreement with the former AS FAR player, but their offer — estimated between €10 and €13 million, bonuses included — falls well short of the Scottish club’s demands. This uncertainty appears to have allowed Rennes to re-enter the race. The Breton club, in search of a striker, is reportedly considering a more ambitious proposal.

    Strong competition

Several European clubs are also closely monitoring Hamza Igamane: Tottenham, Everton, Feyenoord, Lens, Strasbourg, Udinese, and Gladbach. The competition looks fierce, especially since the Moroccan international is under contract with Rangers until 2029.

According to the Daily Record, Feyenoord has reportedly stepped up its efforts through Toon van Bodegom, an influential member of the Dutch club’s supervisory board.

Heading for a departure this summer?

His technical profile and potential for growth are appealing, but a club still needs to agree to the €20 million demanded by Rangers.
