Following the announcement of Achraf Hakimi’s referral to the departmental criminal court in the case opened in 2023, the lawyer for the Paris Saint-Germain defender issued a firm reaction, reported by franceinfo and picked up by several media outlets.
Me Fanny Colin claims to approach the upcoming hearing “determined and combative,” believing that the trial will allow for “justice to be served.”
The defense questions the elements of the case
In her statement, the lawyer contests the strength of the accusation and describes, from the defense’s perspective, a complainant who allegedly refused several investigative actions (medical examinations, DNA searches, phone exploitation, identification of a witness).
Me Colin also mentions two psychological assessments which, according to her, would conclude an “absence of lucidity” regarding the alleged facts and an “absence of post-traumatic symptoms.”
Finally, she asserts that exchanges of messages with a friend mentioning the idea of “robbing” the player were, in her view, concealed from the judicial authorities.
