The Paris Saint-Germain will have to do without Achraf Hakimi for their next outing in Ligue 1. The Moroccan international has been handed a one-match suspension by the LFP’s disciplinary committee after reaching the threshold of five warnings this season. The decision was officially announced on Wednesday, March 11, with the suspension set to take effect on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
This suspension does not affect the European fixture against Chelsea in the Champions League, scheduled for March 17 at Stamford Bridge. However, it will deprive PSG of one of its key players for their next league match affected by this date of application. With the postponement of the match against Nantes, originally scheduled for March 15, the absence of the Moroccan full-back is expected to occur during the trip to Nice, planned for March 21 in Ligue 1.
This is a significant setback for the Parisian club, as Hakimi remains a key element on the right flank, both for his running ability and his offensive contribution. His capacity to push forward, create space, and impact the final third makes him a difficult player to replace in the balance of the Parisian system. This enforced absence will therefore require the PSG staff to reorganize their right flank for the upcoming Ligue 1 fixture.
