In a thrilling UEFA Conference League qualifier, Samir Hadji delivered a great performance for Differdange, scoring both goals in a hard-fought 2-3 defeat to Levadia. Despite the loss at home, the Moroccan forward’s double strike have given his side a vital lifeline for the second leg.

Hadji’s first goal came in the 17th minute, equalizing after a mistake in the Levadia defense. Samir Hadji scored his first goal in the 17th minute, equalizing for Differdange after a mistake by Levadia’s defense. In the second half, as the visitors regained a 1-3 lead, Hadji calmly slotted home his second goal of the evening in the 59th minute after a precise pass from Cameroon’s Adrien Mfoumou.

The result leaves Differdange with a difficult but not impossible task in the return leg. With the score at 2-3, they will travel to Tallinn knowing that a victory by a single goal could force the tie into extra time, and a win by two goals would see them through. However, to stand a chance in the return leg, Differdange must tighten up their defense. The mistakes made in the first match simply can’t be repeated in Estonia if they hope to advance.

Watch highlights of the game in the video below:

Throughout his UEFA career, Samir Hadji has accumulated impressive statistics. In total, he has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League combined.
