On Sunday evening, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, received the flag of the Africa Cup of Nations from the hands of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. The ceremony took place at the closing of the CAN Ivory Coast-2023. The upcoming edition in 2025 in Morocco is already promising, according to the president of the CAF, Patrice Motsepe, who anticipates “immense success.” The CAN-2023 saw Ivory Coast clinch the trophy, adding a third star to their record after 1992 and 2015.
