Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), was re-elected this Wednesday to the Council of the International Football Federation (FIFA) during the General Assembly of the African Football Confederation (CAF) in Cairo. This re-election marks a new milestone in his rise on the international football stage, having received 49 votes out of 52—a remarkable score in this crucial election. The president of the FRMF continues to represent Morocco at the highest level and to influence strategic decisions regarding global football.
His reappointment to the Executive Committee of the CAF strengthens his position on the African football scene. This complements his significant role in the governance and audit committees of FIFA, where he has also been a member since 2021.
