In a friendly match held at Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium, Fenerbahçe secured a solid 1-0 victory over Lazio Rome. The game was dominated by the Istanbul side, who continue their serious preparation just days before the season kicks off.
The winning goal came from an Italian mistake perfectly capitalized on by Youssef En-Nesyri. Coming on in the 57th minute, the Moroccan striker intercepted a poor clearance by the Roman defense before delivering a pinpoint pass to İrfan Can Kahveci, who scored from close range.
For En-Nesyri, this play confirms his excellent start to preseason. Having already scored two goals—against Al Ittihad in a convincing 4-0 win, then against Benfica despite a 3-2 defeat—he registered his first assist of the summer. The Moroccan international, now entering his second season with Fenerbahçe, is showing very encouraging signs.
Sofyan Amrabat, also a substitute at kickoff, came on at the same time as En-Nesyri (57th minute). Another Atlas Lion, Reda Belahyane, entered the pitch a bit later, in the 66th minute.
This victory strengthens the positive momentum of the Turkish club, which can rely on its internationals to compete at the top this season.
