Youssef En-Nesyri once again shone for Fenerbahçe, scoring a decisive brace in the 3-1 victory against Kasımpaşa SK in the 24th round of the Süper Lig. A valuable win for the Istanbul club, which remains in the title race, and a top performance by the Moroccan striker.
In the 21st minute, En-Nesyri opened the scoring by taking advantage of a perfectly weighted through ball. Well-timed, he calmly slotted the ball past the goalkeeper with a clinical finish. Very active throughout the match, he stood out for his ability to create space and assist his teammates, as seen with his precise pass to Talisca in the 58th minute. He was also close to another goal with a header in the 64th minute, but the opposing goalkeeper denied him.
The Moroccan doubled the lead in the 71st minute with a subtle finish: after another well-timed through ball, he executed a clever lob, catching the goalkeeper off-guard. Despite a desperate intervention from a defender on the line, the ball had clearly crossed the goal line. En-Nesyri could have completed a hat-trick, but he was unlucky with two more chances in the 76th and 77th minutes.
Starting the match, both En-Nesyri and Sofyan Amrabat played the full game and were among the standout players for the team managed by José Mourinho. Thanks to this victory, Fenerbahçe solidifies its second-place position in the Süper Lig, now just three points behind leaders Galatasaray. With 15 goals to his name, En-Nesyri is also closing in on the top of the goal-scoring table, now just three goals behind Polish striker Krzysztof Piątek, the current leader.
