Souffian El Karouani registered another assist this Wednesday during FC Utrecht’s victory on the pitch of NEC Nijmegen (1-3) in the Eredivisie.
In a match that quickly turned in favor of the visitors, Utrecht took the lead as early as the 5th minute thanks to Ángel Alarcón, before extending their advantage just before halftime through Gjivai Zechiël (45th).
Upon returning from the break, El Karouani made his mark in the final third: the Moroccan full-back provided the assist for the third goal, scored by Yoann Cathline in the 49th minute. This decisive play secured Utrecht’s lead, despite a goal from Darko Nejašmić for NEC (59th).
Already recognized as one of the main providers of chances for his team, El Karouani continues to confirm his impact in this regard, as he ranks among the top assist providers for Utrecht this season.
