Already victorious in the first leg, Bruges triumphed again against Atalanta this Tuesday (1-3), securing their qualification for the Champions League Round of 16. This qualification was highlighted by another outstanding performance from Chemsdine Talbi, the 19-year-old Moroccan, who was decisive against the Italians.

It took just three minutes for Chemsdine Talbi to make an impact. On a fast counter-attack, he opened the scoring with an unstoppable curled shot into the bottom corner (0-1, 3’). The hero of the first leg, where he provided an assist and was named man of the match, he once again showed his talent.

He quickly repeated his brilliance, opportunistically finishing off a superb run from Ardon Jashari (0-2, 27’), further consolidating Bruges’ advantage. The Moroccan once again proved his positioning and efficiency.

Before halftime, Ferran Jutgla added a third goal with a stunning half-volley from 20 meters after a quick counter (0-3, 45+3’). Atalanta was never able to recover from this blow.

Ademola Lookman’s response, with a goal for Atalanta right after the restart (1-3, 46’), wasn’t enough to reverse the trend. The Italians, too disorganized, saw their efforts nullified by a Bruges team that was perfectly structured and ruthless.

At just 19 years old, Chemsdine Talbi is confirming himself as one of the most promising young talents, and his decisive role in this qualification only strengthens his reputation.
