    Azerbaijan – Qarabag FK has secured its place in the UEFA Champions League play-offs. Driven by the exceptional performance of its captain, Abdellah Zoubir, Qarabag won 5-1 against Shkëndija.

    The Moroccan midfielder was the driving force behind Qarabag’s success, delivering two crucial assists, (18′ and 33′), that proved decisive in the team’s journey through the early qualifying stages. Zoubir’s playmaking was instrumental, directly paving the way for Qarabag’s advancement.

    Adding to the Moroccan presence is defender Samy Mmaee who will face a compelling personal challenge in the next round. More precisely, In the play-off round, Qarabag will face Ferencváros, Mmaee’s former club. This upcoming clash sets the stage for an intriguing reunion, as Mmaee will go head-to-head with his former teammates and a club where he enjoyed a successful tenure.
