PARIS, FRANCE - MAY 07: Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain poses for a photo with the PlayStation Player Of The Match award after the team's victory and subsequent progression into the final after the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Semi Final Second Leg match between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal FC at Parc des Princes on May 07, 2025 in Paris, France. In a European evening filled with tension and emotion, Paris Saint-Germain secured their spot in the Champions League final by defeating Arsenal 2-1, thus confirming a controlled qualification (3-1 on aggregate over the two matches). At the heart of this resounding success was one man: Achraf Hakimi. Named MVP of the match, the Moroccan full-back delivered an exceptional performance that lived up to the high stakes. Tireless in his flank, precise in his choices, and crucial offensively, he was the true engine of the Parisian collective.

It was he who provided Parc des Princes with one of the most powerful moments of the evening. In the 72nd minute, Hakimi burst into the box, exchanged passes with Ousmane Dembélé, and then unleashed an unstoppable angled shot right by the post, sealing the fate of the match. Just a few minutes earlier, his shot had already led to a penalty after a handball from the opposition, although Vitinha was unable to convert it. Solid defensively, meticulous in building up play, and incisive in transitions, the Moroccan international embodied the rigor and determination of a PSG team in full maturity. His selection as man of the match only confirms his central role in the team’s success, just weeks away from a European final that Paris dreams of conquering.
