Celta Vigo is making a final push in the transfer market, with Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech emerging as potential target.
According to El Gol Digital, the Galician club is keen to reinforce its right wing and sees the 32 year old as a key free-agent signing. With Bryan Zaragoza already secured for the left side, sporting director Marco Garcés is accelerating an offer for Ziyech before the transfer window closes.
Adding to the narrative is Ziyech’s history against Celta Vigo. The Moroccan has a track record of troubling the Spanish side, having scored twice against them during his time at Ajax. Both goals came in the 2016-17 Europa League group stage, with Ziyech finding the back of the net in a 2-2 draw in Vigo and again in a 3-2 victory in Amsterdam. Celta will be hoping that Ziyech’s knack for scoring against them will now be put to use for them.
